circles are algorithmically curated communities of spotify listeners who connect over shared
learning paths. beginners, experts, and community curators share their own common corner of spotify where they can
view what podcasts, audiobooks, or courses others are listening to. these circles encourage fluid participation,
balancing listening with contributions, all within safe spaces designed for learning.
this is a confidential project. it is not permitted to share this anywhere.
the users are introduced to the new feature on the home screen after one scroll or can access it via the new ‘learn’ tab on top
learners are added to circles with others interested in similar topics. circle names are auto-generated and kept quirky to stay on brand. each circle contains podcasts, audiobooks, and courses that members are consuming. podcast sections are highlighted to show where the most helpful comments are posted.
circles also have a question and answer section where learners can ask questions anonymously and get help from others.
spotify has always been about the media experience first, not social interaction. while not everyone would appreciate a social layer, some people find motivation in learning together. circles balances this perfectly by keeping users anonymous and integrating interaction quietly within each group.
